Dear Torsten, just want to thank you for your excellent work. I never changed to Linux because I worried that I won't be able to get my DMX6Fire USB device working. It is highly important for my: I love listening to muic in HiFi ... Yesterday I gave Linux another try. Today I'm running Debian 8 Jessie 64 Bit on my PC and everything worked fine. And thanks to your work I can even use my DMX6Fire! It's so great! Even for me as a Linux noob it was absolutely ok to get it running. Thank you very much for making it possible! Have a great and successful new year 2016. Best regards. Marius

Lots of trouble when using the UMX 6Fire USB on a newly installed Lubuntu 14.10: The card is recognized pretty quickly with alsamixer, and works without any problem with light audio players like Audacious. It doesn't work with a video player such as VLC, making the video stutter and causing audio and image lags and cuts. Worse, it makes VLC crash and the PC freeze ultimately. Has anybody noticed these, and found a solution ?

Anybody have compared the quality of sound with this driver in Linux with Windows driver. Is it better, the same, or worse?
